LÜCY’s self-titled debut album narrated her journey from opening the door and stepping out of her room to venturing into the music industry, painting the landscapes she encountered along the way.
Her new album, *Dance on the Shoreline,* continues this adventure, marking her evolving mindset over the past two years as she collided with herself, her surroundings, and the world. For LÜCY, “Shoreline” extends beyond its literal meaning of the coast to include boundaries such as forests, deserts, oases, and even the edges between nations or between life and death. It also serves as a metaphor for her latest work, reflecting her exploration of diverse musical styles, collaborators, and languages.
For the first time, she delves into Japanese songwriting and vocals, boldly experimenting with ethereal electronic sounds. She collaborated with talented producers such as Kang Yu Lu , Everydaze, J.4αllϵ (‘θ’) ϶r, Jaguar Sun, and Wico Weng. Vocal contributions from JOYCE, Everydaze, and Jaguar Sun further enrich the album.
Additionally, LÜCY stepped into the role of producer and arranger for several tracks, breaking free from her previous insistence on preserving demos in their original form. With a spirit of growth, she crafted new versions that better reflect her current state of mind, o`ering fans a rich and diverse auditory journey.
